Chad F. Dennison, 40, of Lakefield, Minn., formerly of Austin, Minn., died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn. He was born Sept. 15, 1973, in Austin, the son of Frank W. and Cheryl R. (Wilcox) Dennison. Chad grew up in Austin and attended Crane Community Chapel as a young man. He lived and worked as a welder in many towns in southern Minnesota. He enjoyed taking his kids fishing, listening to music, tinkering on cars and fixing things.

Chad is survived by his mother, Cheryl (Dave) Stigney of Lakefield; significant other, Amanda Zemke of Lakefield; four children, Miranda Brede, Chantel Dennison, Haley Dennison and Cole Dennison; seven brothers and sisters, Lisa (Paul) Sangineto, of Brownsdale, Minn.; Kristine (LaVerne) Maier, of Sargeant, Minn.; Vicki (TC) Powell, of White Water, Wis.; Laura (Bobby) Gladden, of Austin; Stephen (Kristi) Dennison, of Winona, Minn.; Katy (Scott) Brechtel, of Austin; Todd Dennison, of  New Ulm, Minn.; and Melissa Root, of Austin; aunts Marilyn Clark, of Austin; Lorraine Lusby, of Ill.; Vonda (Andy) Buzzitta, of Mesa, Ariz.; and Vickie Waltz, of Austin; also many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Dennison; brother, Frankie, his uncle Larry Waltz and his grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Crane Community Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dale Christiansen officiating.
