Y’s Women
Y’s Women met Nov. 14 at the Hormel Historic Home.
A very informative program on Hospice care was given by Lenette Baron of the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. Members also brought items for the Salvation Army food shelf.
Members will work at the Christmas open house, which will include an English Tea Nov. 22 and 23.
Dessert was served by the hostesses: Joyce Anderson, Marlys Dunlop and Dee Witt.
A Y’s Women Christmas party will be Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. Shirley Cahill’s group, The Golden Oldies, will entertain with a potluck to follow. Members will make a donation to the Hy-Vee Feed A Family program.
Duplicate Bridge
Tournament results for Nov. 13 with four tables played: first, Dave Ring and Orrion Roisen; second, Lu Schmitt and Loren Cleland; third, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; fourth, Warren Behrends and Eunice Michaelis.
A Duplicate Bridge Christmas party will be held 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 18.
Duplicate Bridge is played each Wednesday at noon at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. All Bridge players are welcome. Call Dave Ring at 507-434-4189 for partnership assistance or additional information.
