The Austin boys hockey team opened its season with a 7-3 loss at La Cresecent Saturday.

The Packers (0-1 overall) were out-shot 34-27 in the loss.

Tony Baudler scored a pair goals for the Packers and Daniel Bollingberg scored one goal for Austin. Alec Bawek and Dan Larson had assists for Austin.

Connor Poczos had 27 saves for Austin.
