Austin’s Laury finishes sixth in state diving meet

Austin senior Autumn Laury finished her high school diving career on the podium at the Class ‘A’ state meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis Wednesday.

Laury took sixth place with a score of 303.20 and she was just five points from New Prague’s Britin Thomsen, who took fifth.

Laruy, who battled a back injury for most of this season, started the day in eighth place and she moved up two spots by putting up a score of 91.5 in Wednesday’s finals.

Laury finished third in the state diving meet last season.

Bailey Dupay of Northfield won her second straight state diving title with a score of 397.55.
