Tom Kelly, an Austin native now with the Wright County Attorney’s Office, will speak during a Veterans Day program at St. Michael High School.
Kelly will tell the history of Veterans Day and discuss the importance of honoring veterans. Kelly’s father and four uncles all served in World War II.
“As more and more war veterans pass away there are fewer and fewer left to carry the torch of remembrance. We must pick up that torch and help other learn, know and remember the true price of freedom!” Kelly wrote in a letter.
Kelly has spoken at many Veterans Day programs over the years. He lives in Buffalo with his wife, Holly. They have two children, Megan and Matthew.
