Austin hemp advocates are inviting people to “bring it home” to the Paramount Theatre this Saturday to watch “Bringing it Home,” a documentary showcasing the positives of the industrial hemp industry.

The film revolves around a father’s search for building materials to build a home his daughter, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder, can safely live in.

Anthony Brenner’s daughter, Bailey, is sensitive to synthetic chemicals, which prompted Anthony to build the first “hemp house” in Asheville, N.C. The 52-minute film also discusses the history of industrial hemp production.

The movie will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Tickets are $2.
