Habitat honors volunteers, family

Local Habitat for Humanity volunteers and a soon-to-be Habitat homeowner were recognized during the organization’s most recent monthly meeting.
Emmett Earl and Keith Barnes received the Louis Anthonisen Lifetime Achievement Award, and Don Herbert received an award for volunteering.
The new home owners, Brook Kalabunde and family from Lyle, were introduced to guests, committee members and volunteers. They were thankful and want to give so others can have a hand up, not a handout, for a new home.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that relies on volunteers to achieve its home-building goals.
