Catherine (Erlandson) Neubert, 89, of Austin, Minn., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.
Catherine (Katie) was born on Dec. 5, 1923, in Minneapolis, to Helge and Pearl (Mann) Erlandson. She married Jim Dalrymple, of Minneapolis, and had two children, later divorcing. In 1954, she married Lawrence Neubert of Mankato and had six children.
Katie was active in her church and community organizations. She was a talented singer and musician, avid gardener, and a devoted mother and wife. She had a smile that would light up a room.
Katie is survived by her husband, Lawrence “Jake” Neubert, of Austin, Minn.; sons: Daniel (Judy) Neubert, of Robbinsdale, Minn.; Matthew (Patti) Neubert, of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters: Nancy (Dean) Stenberg, of Troup, Texas; Lauri (Mike Arturi) Neubert, of Red Wing, Minn.; Shelly (Mike) Bouquet, of Grand Rapids, Minn.; Wendy (Randy) Kramer, of Austin, Minn.; Patty (Larry) Dalrymple-Pombo, of Garden Valley, Calif.; grandchildren: Bradley and Brent Stenberg, Matthew Neubert, Emily and Mike Arturi, Jacob and Brady Kramer, Christy Hagen, and Jason Hayes.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Jim Dalrymple, brother, Helge Erlandson, sister, Patricia Anderson, and infant son, Michael James Dalrymple.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Sacred Heart Care Center, 1200 12th Street SW, Austin, MN 55912.
