Area football games postponed

An area rain storm with lightning took its toll on area football teams Friday night.
The lightning postponed games in Austin, Southland, Mabel, Hayfield and Lanesboro.
The Packers and Spartans will begin their game Saturday at 7 p.m. at Art Hass Stadium.
The Athletics trailed 14-0 at the half and they will finish their game at Mabel-Canton Saturday at 3 p.m.
Southland and Goodhue will begin their game in Adams Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Vikings and Chatfield will resume their game Saturday at 6 p.m. in Hayfield with the score tied at 0-0 with 1:32 left in the first quarter.
The Superlarks are trailing 8-0 in the first quarter and they will resume play Saturday.
This is the third time the Packers have had a game postponed due to weather in the past three years.
