The Austin volleyball team played better than it has, but it still fell short 25-17, 25-21, 25-6 to Rochester Century (6-3 overall, 2-1 Big Nine) in Packer Gym Thursday.

Mer Gach led the Packers (1-13 overall, 0-3 Big Nine) with six kills and three ace blocks.

“We had some good, long rallies and we’re making small strides,” Austin head coach Cindy Owen said.
