The Austin football team is likely to face its most physical test of the season when it hosts Owatonna for its Homecoming game in Art Hass Stadium Friday at 7 p.m.

The Huskies (4-0 overall, 4-0 Big Nine) are outscoring their opponents 42.5-10.5 points per game and they’re ranked No. 1 in Class ‘AAAAA.’ They already knocked off No. 6 Mankato West 24-21 and they topped Rochester Mayo, Winona and Rochester Century by at least 27 points each.

Owatonna is known for its physical, rushing style of offense and the Huskies are certainly capable of moving the ball note the ground behind their big line. But they’ve also opened things up in recent years and Owatona quarterback Ian Langeberg threw for 215 yards and six TDs in just two quarters in a 56-7 win over Rochester Century last week.
