Area road construction isn’t done yet.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 90 between Highway 16 and Mower County Road 1 beginning Thursday, Sept. 19, when crews begin concrete repair work.

The project includes concrete pavement repairs on the eastbound lanes and shoulder resurfacing.

When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway.

Diamond Surface is the prime contractor for the $1.4 million project.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
