Carlos (Chico) Lilly, formerly of Austin, passed away suddenly Sept. 4, 2013, at his home in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
He lived in Austin from 1983 to 2009. He worked construction in Austin for a few different companies, but worked for years for Wagner construction and loved the family of co-workers he had. He married Barb Hendrikson April 22, 1994, and loved her family dearly. He married Holly Getchell Feb. 29, 2008, and loved her family dearly as well.
Chico was a hard worker and always took pride in everything he did. He loved time with his stepchildren and grandchildren, especially his times in baseball with his stepsons. He recently connected with his daughter and dreamed of time with her. In Thunder Bay, he lived with his wife, he met many wonderful people and worked as a concrete finisher.
He is survived by his wife, Holly Lilly, of Thunder Bay, his daughter, Stacia Wigham of Austin, his stepchildren that he loved as his own — three stepdaughters, Nakisha Dyson, Raylonda Johnson, and Linnea Lopez, three stepsons Drew, Michael and Ethan Getchell, and 10 grandchildren.
As per his wishes, he donated tissue and bone for transplant and research to help others and continue his legacy, and will be cremated. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
He left this world too soon and will be dearly missed.
