The No. 5 ranked Blooming Prairie football team didn’t play perfect, but they beat Saint Clair (1-4 overall) 35-14 in BP Friday.

BP quarterback John Rumpza threw for 271 yards and two TDs and Jake Decker ran for 87 yards and two scores, but the Awesome Blossoms (5-0 overall) let the penalties pile up on them in the second half.

“The penalties are what ticked me off tonight,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said. “We were sloppy in the second half.”
