Betty Wibben, 87, also known as Betty Lloyd Kasel, of Eagan, died on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.

Betty grew up in Rochester, Minn. She graduated from St. Catherine’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She worked in the lab at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She married Pete Kasel in 1951, in Austin, and together they had five children. She worked at the R&D lab at Hormel.

She is preceded in death by Pete, parents, William and Nora Lloyd; sisters, Marjorie Aldeen and Charlotte Norlander. Survived by children, Patricia (Jerry) Bass, Michael Kasel, Cheryl (Charlie) Favrot, Cathy  Kasel, Suzanne (Robin) Kasel-Smith; sister, Patricia Duffy; brother-in-law, Duane Aldeen; grandchildren, Jacob, Molly, Peter, Cathy, Michael, Christopher; great-grandchildren, Julia, Lauren; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at Wulff Godbout Funeral Home, 560 W. Seventh St., St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at a future date at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo, Fla.
