FARMINGTON — The Austin volleyball team lost its season opener at Farmington by scores of 25-12, 25-9, 25-13 Thursday.

The Packers (0-1 overall) were playing their first game under head coach Cindy Owen.

“We did some nice things tonight,” Owen said. “We had some long rallies. We still have some work to do though.”
