The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued a public notice on its intent to reissue a permit for the Austin Utilities northeast power plant.

The five-year permit, which allows utilities officials to operate the plant, is set to expire at the end of next month. The MPCA will likely reissue the permit after that.
