Body recovered from car submerged in Mississippi

MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities have recovered the body of an adult male from a car that broke through a fence and landed in the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a car that was in the river about 9:40 p.m. Monday. Sheriff’s deputies used underwater equipment to locate the vehicle, which was found about 40 feet from shore.
The sheriff’s department dive team helped recover the car and the man’s body. Deputies are investigating.
