Viola Lulubell “Vi” Coyle, 93, of Austin, Minn., died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin.
Vi was born Nov. 24, 1919, in Hector, Minn., to August and Gertrude Lidberg. She married Leo Coyle and was later divorced.
Vi worked at the military post office in San Francisco, Calif., Hormel Foods, St. Augustine School and cafeteria, Big Bob’s Skillet, and the B & E Grill. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, baking cookies for her grandchildren, crossword puzzles, and sitting on the porch having coffee.
Vi was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, the ladies church unit and quilting club.
Survivors include her three children, Leo (Aletha) Coyle, Austin, Shirley Coyle, Austin, Deb Potter, Buffalo, Minn.; four grandchildren, Christopher Coyle (fiancée Stephanie), Austin, Travis (Jackie) Coyle, Austin, Tom Potter (fiancée Shawana), Buffalo, Zach (Nicole) Potter, Buffalo; 11 great-grandchildren, Collin, Alex, Ethan and Adalyn Coyle, all of Austin, Searra, Alana, Trevor, Avery, Chelsey, Mackenzie and Anthony Potter, all of Buffalo; a brother, LeRoy (Mavis) Lidberg, Fremont, Neb.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell and Clifford; a sister, Arlene.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father John Traufler officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Condolences may be left online at www.mayerfh.com. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
