String quartet coming to the Nature Center

From elegant Bach to Classic Rock, the Pecatonica String Quartet’s joy and passion for making music will set the tone for an event at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center Thursday.
Based out of the Madison area, the Pecatonica String Quartet is: Austin native Amber Dolphin, violin; Maggie Darby Townsend, cello; Carol Carlson, violin; and Chris Dozoryst viola. The event is an Alzheimer’s fundraiser in memory of Don Deines. A freewill offering for Alzheimer’s research will be accepted.
The quartet will preform three shows on Thursday, Aug. 1: a senior special concert from 9 to 9:30 a.m., a family/children’s concert at 1:30 p.m., and an evening concert at 7 p.m.
