Shirley Ann Irwin of Bloomington, Minn., died in Minneapolis.
Shirley was born Nov. 29, 1938, in Mower County, Minn., to Melvin and Martha (Fairbanks) Newkirk. She married Charles “Charlie” Irwin. She retired as an office administrator for Hancock Fabrics.
Survivors include her children, Cathy (Ulie) Seal, Church Irwin, Cindy (Duane) Haddick and Chris (Phil) Wolf; sisters, Thelma Givan and Donna McCullough; brothers, Jim (Shirley), Ray (Nylene) and Marv Newkirk; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charlie.
Gill Brothers in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements. A service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redemption at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 927 E. Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington, with Pastor Robert W. Nowak officiating. A visitation will be held half an hour prior to the service at the church. A private interment will follow. Memorials may be made to Donate Life.
