The time has come again to pack a lunch and head to the Mower County Historical Society for the next installment of the Lunchbox History Series. The program will take place at noon Thursday.
This month, former theatre director Frank Bridges will present a history of early theatre in Austin.
Drawing on his own research, Bridges will talk about performers, performances and theatre hot spots in the community from the mid-1800s to the opening of the Paramount Theatre.
The Lunchbox History Series is held the fourth Thursday of each month through September. The public is invited to attend the program for free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
