Raymond Jerome Aaby, 59, of Austin, Minn., died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Raymond was born Nov. 28, 1953, in Austin to Richard and Rosemary (Bischoff) Aaby. He was a graduate of Austin High School and worked for the University of Minnesota as an environmental service worker. Ray liked to tinker with electronics and was an avid ham radio operator. He was a member of the Austin Moose Lodge and Eagles. He was also a storm watcher.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald Aaby. He is survived by a brother, Rick Aaby; nephews, Ashley Aaby and Aric Aaby; and sister-in-law Diane Aaby.

Funeral services for Raymond Aaby will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin. There will be visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to services. He will be interred at Oakwood Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.mayerfh.com.
