Medical center now offering medical records online

Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin patients can now access their personal information whenever they like.
Mayo Clinic has launched its online patient portal, Patient Online Services, for patients in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
“We want our patients to be active and engaged participants in their care,” said Robert Nesse, M.D., president and CEO of the 70-member health system. “Giving them round-the-clock access to their medical records is part of that open exchange of information.”
Patients can create their account by going to mayo
clinichealthsystem.org or downloading the Mayo Clinic patient app on their iOS or Android device. Once an account has been created, patients will have access to:
• Lab results
• Clinical notes
• Medication lists
• Upcoming appointments
• Medical documents
Patients can also exchange secure messages with their health care providers and request appointments or prescription renewals.
