The Stuttering Foundation has given Austin Public Library an instructional DVD to help parents with children who stutter.

Austin residents can check out the DVD, “Stuttering and Your Child: Help for Parents,” in English and Spanish. It shows parents how to detect stuttering and take action toward helping their child, and gives strategies for how to reduce stuttering, including limiting the number of questions parents ask the child, focusing on taking turns during conversations and making time to read or talk with the child in a relaxed manner.
