Edward D. Matti, 77, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in a local care center in Sulphur, La.
Edward was a native of Austin, Minn., and had been a resident of Sulphur for 20 years, coming from Elton, La. Edward enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patsy D. Matti of Sulphur; three daughters, Patricia Brame and husband Billy of Sulphur, Patrice Matti of Lake Charles, La., and Janalyn Arceneaux and husband Pierre of Welsh, La.; two brothers, David Matti of Baltimore, Md., and Donald Matti of Grand Junction, Colo.; two sisters, Mary Jacobs of Hackensack, Minn., and Judy Goergen of Austin; four grandchildren, James Brame, Bonnie Brame, Andrea Arceneaux and Lea Ann Williams; three great-grandchildren, Zane, Jayden and Brenden; and a special family friend, Yvonne Bertrand. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Marie Matti.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev.
