BECKER — Blooming Prairie junior Anna Noble finished up a strong two days at the Class ‘A’ state golf meet by finishing in 16th place at Pebble Creek Golf Course
Wednesday.
Noble finished with a two-day score of 184, which was 19 strokes behind state champion Hannah Kruger of Russell Tyler Ruthton.
Noble shot a 97 on Wednesday after posting a season’s best score of 87 on Tuesday.
“I was a little surprised I finished as high as I did, because I didn’t do that well today,” Noble said. “I didn’t have very many goals coming in here. I was just pumped to be here and I wanted to shoot my usual score, which is in the low 90s.”
Noble shot a 53 on the front nine Wednesday, but she recovered to shoot a 44 on the back nine.
“I was more tired today,” she said. “My front nine wasn’t very good.”
