As the weather increasingly becomes warmer, the Austin Police Department urges motorists and pedestrians to be alert.

Austin Police Capt. Dave McKichan has noticed an influx in DWIs during the past week as more people are outside and attending family gatherings, barbecues and parties. McKichan urges drivers to remember to plan for sober rides before they drink any alcohol.
