Packer girls take fourth at Big Nine golf meet

MANKATO – The Austin girls golf team finished fourth in the Big Nine tournament in Mankato Wednesday.

The Packers tallied a team score of 386 as they had three golfers in the 90s. Lauren Stasi shot a 91, Shannon Stutzman shot a 90 and Steph Justice had a 97.

“I am very happy and proud of my girls,” Austin head coach Stephanie Wagner said. “They played well in the cold rain. Even though each girl came in soaked, they all had smiles.”

Caitlyn Stanley shot a 102 for the Packers.

Winona won the meet with a 359 and Mayo took second with a 360 and the two shared the Big Nine season title. Rochester John Marshall was third with a 383.
