Margaret George

Margaret George

Margaret Lucille Jones was born March 12, 1916, to Curtis Jones and Margarett (Hanson) Jones. She attended and graduated from LeRoy High School in 1934 and was united in marriage to Floyd George on March 14, 1936, in Cresco, Iowa.

Margaret enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and spending time with family. She loved playing games, especially cards and Scrabble. As she lost her eyesight, she enjoyed legos to occupy her time and also going for rides and out to eat. She loved when family came to visit and going to the annual Jones Reunion. The last few months were blessed as she moved from her assisted-living apartment into the nursing home and she was able to spend more time with her sister, Marie Peterson.
