The Mower County Historical Society announced it will participate in the Blue Star Museums program, making it one of more than 1,500 museums across America to offer free admission to military personnel and their families this summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
“The historical society is very proud to be one of the partners for the Blue Star Museums program,” said Executive Director Dustin Heckman. “This is one way for us to give back to military personnel and their families and show our appreciation for their service.”
The program is run in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense. The historical society is open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment.
