HONORS

—Crystal Paulson and Amy Roberts of Austin were named to the president’s list at Kaplan University in Mason City.

—Four Austin residents were named to the dean’s list at St. Cloud State University: Ashley Arhart, marketing; Jessica McCormack, social work; Alexandria Neumann, elementary/K-6 education; and April Winter, mathematics teaching.

—Austin residents Kiefer Hotek, interdisciplinary applied math economics, and Alexander Mueller, marketing, were named to the 2013 spring dean’s list at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.

—Megan Kinney, of Adams, and Chelsy Neve, of Austin, have been named to the spring 2013 dean’s list at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.

SCHOLARSHIP

—Gabriel J. Franta, a 2011 graduate of Austin High School, received the University of Minnesota Annual Giving Scholarship of $2,000 for the College of Biological Sciences. Franta is a sophomore majoring in genetics, cell biology and development at the university’s Twin Cities campus.

GRADUATION

—Drew Osier of Austin graduated with a degree in business management from Central College in Iowa.

—Lizabeth Meany graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a degree in peace studies.

—Colin Sheehan, of Austin, and Brittany Geerdes, of Racine, graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

—Tucker Mithuen, of Austin, graduated from Saint John’s University in Collegeville with a degree in political science.
