Delores Sarah Kronebusch, 95, Austin

Delores Sarah Kronebusch, 95, of Austin, Minnesota died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin. She was born on Feb. 6, 1918, in a farmhouse near Fountain City, Wis. to John and Sarah (Ritscher) Beck. She graduated from Winona High School and beauty school. She worked for a few years in Winona before she married Sylvester Kronebusch on Nov. 18, 1940, at St. Joseph’s Church in Winona, Minn. They moved to Austin where she worked out of the home and then became a full-time homemaker.

Delores was a long-time member of the women’s society of Queen of Angels Church and did volunteer work at her church in the community. When her husband retired, they spent time traveling around the country on bus tours with seniors.

She is survived by her four children: John (Cathy), Woodbridge, Va.; Joann, Stevens Point, Wis.; Paul/Br. Joseph (New Melleray Abbey, Peosta, Iowa); and Michael (Julia Van Cleve), Minneapolis, Minn. Two grandchildren Joben (Marie) and MariSara (Jake) and four great grandchildren (Madeline, Peter, Kaitlyn and Luke), all in Virginia.

She is preceded by her husband, parents and sisters.

A funeral mass for Delores Kronebusch will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Austin. Visitation will be held on Friday, may 17 at Mayer Funeral Home from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
