The city of Adams has advised residents to boil their water since Thursday as the city’s pump house was damaged by lightning and lost pressure sometime on Wednesday night.
According to the city clerk, the Minnesota Department of Health took samples of the water after the lightning strike as a precaution to ensure the city’s supply is not contaminated.
City officials posted fliers on doors throughout Adams about the issue and were supposed to hear from MDH Friday morning about test results.
