FIRST TEAM

Guard, Zach Wessels, Austin

The junior was a floor leader and defensive stopper for the Packers (30-1 overall), averaging 14.9 points, 4.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game. Wessels shot a team-high 58 percent from the field, 29 percent on 3-pointers and 59 percent from the free throw line.

Guard, Cole Kruger, Hayfield

The junior kickstarted the offense for Hayfield (22-8 overall) as he averaged 19.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Kruger shot 50 percent from the field and 36 percent on 3-pointers.

Forward, Mike Goergen, Southland

The senior averaged 19.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.8 steals for the Rebels (20-8 overall). Goergen shot 50 percent from the field, 38 percent from on 3-pointers and 71 percent on free throws. Goergen finished as Southland’s all-time leading scorer with 1,785.

Forward, Joe Aase, Austin

The senior led Austin in scoring with 17 points per game and added 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.3 steals per contest. Aase, who was named second team All-State and will play at Division I Davidson College next season, shot 45 percent from the field, 39 percent on 3-pointers and 78 percent on free throws.

Center, Tom Aase, Austin

The senior did it all for the Packers, averaging 11.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, a team-high 2.5 blocks and 2 steals per game. Aase, who will play at Division II University of Sioux Falls next season, shot 48 percent from the field, 32 percent on 3-pointers and 72 percent on free throws.

 

SECOND TEAM

Guard, David Diang, Lyle-Pacelli

The senior averaged 18 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game for LP (14-12 overall).

Forward, Skylar Meyer, Lyle-Pacelli

The senior averaged 18.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 2 blocks.

Forward, Brady Kramer, Hayfield

The senior did a little bit of everything for the Vikings. He averaged 12.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1 steal per game, while shooting 48 percent from the field.

Forward, Michael Thomas, Blooming Prairie

The senior averaged 18.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game, while shooting 48 percent from the field.

Center, John Rumpza, Blooming Prairie

The sophomore averaged 21.5 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 52 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free throw line.

HONORABLE MENTION

Guard, Ajuda Nywesh, Austin

The junior shot the area’s best 46 percent on 3-pointers and he averaged 7.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game. Nywesh also shot 51 percent from the field and 75 percent on free throws.

Nick Schmitz, guard, Southland

The senior averaged 13.2 points, 4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.1 steals, while shooting 46 percent from the field and 40 percent on 3-pointers. Schmitz finished as Southland’s fifth player to break the 1,000 point mark as he finishes his career with 1,086 points.

Guard, Bret Lukes, Austin

The junior averaged 8.1 points, 2 assists and 1.7 steals, while shooting 45 percent from the field, 39 percent on 3-pointers and 70 percent on free throws. Lukes committed just 29 turnovers in 443 minutes of playing time.

Forward, Zach Royston, LeRoy-Ostrander

The junior averaged 14 points, 11.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.8 steals per game for the Cardinals (3-15 overall), while shooting 73 percent on free throws.

Guard, Trevor Anderson, Hayfield

The senior averaged 9.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 31.6 percent on 3-pointers.

Jeremy Stuart, forward, Hayfield.

The junior averaged 8.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting 52 percent from the field.

Decker Bendtsen, Guard, Southland

The senior averaged 8.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals, while shooting 32 percent on 3-pointers.

Luke Anderson, guard, Southland

The junior averaged 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals, while shooting 36 percent on 3-pointers.
