Safety Center offers driver improvement course

The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer a four-hour refresher driver improvement course from 6 to 10 p.m. April 22 at Blooming Prairie High School, 202 Fourth Ave. NW, for residents ages 55 and older.
The course, which is open to the public and requires drivers to register in advance, will teach drivers the latest information on driver safety, new laws and vehicle technology.
The fee for the refresher course is $20. For more information or to register, visit www.mnsafetycenter.org or call 1-888-234-1294. People age 55 and older who complete the course qualify for a 10 percent discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years, according to Minnesota law.
