Rena Lickteig

She was born Rena Theresa Miller on March 11, 1918, on the family farm near Red Oak Grove, Minn., to Lewis C. and Mary Boe Miller. She was the fifth of nine children. Rena attended country school until age 12, when the family moved to Austin, where she attended Austin High School. On July 11, 1938, Rena married George Lickteig at St. Augustine Catholic Church. They had three daughters: Connie, Nancy and Mary Ann.

Rena was a wonderful wife, mother and Grandma. She leaves behind countless special memories for each of us, whose lives she touched. Someone in heaven is going to get some good lemon pie. She was the best! Rest in peace, dear one.
