ST. PAUL — The History Theatre plans to explore what it means to be an American hero in its new season.
The St. Paul theater announced the lineup Tuesday for its 2013-2014 season.
The season kicks off in October with the regional premiere of “Baby Case,” a new musical about the media’s coverage of the Lindbergh baby kidnapping.
“Christmas of Swing,” featuring the music of the Andrews Sisters, returns for the holidays.
In February, the History Theatre will premiere a new play by Eric Simonson, “The Incredible Season of Ronnie Rabinovitz.”
The theater will run two shows in March dealing with soldiers in war: Tim O’Brien’s “The Things They Carried,” about Vietnam, and “Lonely Soldiers: Women at War in Iraq,” by Helen Benedict.
The season wraps with “Working Boys Band.”
