The Austin chapter of the Izaak Walton League will buck winter next week with its first steak cookout fundraiser of 2013.

The fundraiser will begin at 5:45 p.m. April 24 in Todd Park with 10-ounce sirloins, baked potatoes, coleslaw, buns and fresh vegetables.

Tickets are $12 at the door or can be purchased earlier by contacting an Ikes member.

Proceeds from this cookout will help provide scholarships for Austin area youth to attend summer camps at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center near Lanesboro.

This will be the eighth year the Ikes have donated to this program.
