The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossom baseball team were clipped Friday by New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva 7-6.

John Rumpza went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI to lead the Blossoms (0-2-1) offensively.

Sam Swenson, Weston Fiebiger and Brett Wacek all had a RBI as well.

Wacek took the loss pitching five and a half innings, giving up seven runs – five earned – striking out eight and walking five.

“It was a decent game, but wasn’t spectacular,” said head coach Jeff Kramer. “We just didn’t do the little things.”
