The Student Union group from Austin High School will hold a fundraiser for the Red Cross Monday, Jan. 28 from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the Pizza Ranch in Austin.

Students will work the tables and all tips plus 30 percent of the earnings will be donated to the Red Cross to purchase supplies for the personal care shelf, which provides personal hygiene items plus laundry detergent, dish soap and other basic items to families in emergency situations.

“We plan on this being big for us,” said Gabe Kasak, co-president of the Student Union. “We want to raise more money than last year so we can help more families.”
