Rebel girls knock off Caledonia

CALEDONIA — The Southland girls basketball team moved into second place in the Three Rivers Conference after it picked up a big win by a score of 66-59 at Caledonia (11-2 overall, 7-2 Three Rivers) Tuesday.
Senior guard Jana Schammel scored 20 points for the Rebels (9-2 overall, 8-1 Three Rivers) and senior forward Haley Kirkpatrick added 19 points.
“They carried us on offense,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said. “Defensively, we were scrappy and I think we threw them off their game a little.”
