Packer swimmers take second at nine-team home meet

The Austin boys swimming and diving team showed its depth as it finished second in its nine-team invite at Ellis Middle School Saturday.

The Packers won four events and they finished sixth or better in 10 of the 12 total events.
Austin tallied a score of 375.5, while Rochester John Marshall won the meet with a score of 395.
The Packer 200-yard freestyle relay team of Craig Heimark, Ian Christopherson, Carson Hackel and Nick Brehmer took first and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Heimark, Christopherson, Sawyer Myers and Brehmer took second.
Austin’s Alec Anderson took first in diving and Brehmer took first in the 200-yard freestyle and third in the 100-yard freestyle.
