Mayo Clinic Health System — Albert Lea and Austin recognized its volunteers at the Hormel Historic Home at noon Friday.

The Austin hospital’s Auxiliary Group held its annual meeting, where it recognized volunteers for their work and received praise from hospital administration.

Among the volunteers to be recognized was Joanne Jensen, who contributed more than 7,000 volunteer hours to the hospital in 2012.

The Auxiliary Board of Director’s annual meeting took place earlier that morning, where volunteers and hospital staff discussed what to do with the equipment from the Auxiliary’s coffee and gift shops, which will close in March.
