Packer girls fall to Rockets

ROCHESTER — The Austin girls hockey team lost its fourth straight game in a row when it fell 3-1 at Rochester John Marshall (3-2 overall, 3-1 Big Nine) Saturday.

The Packers (1-6 overall, 0-3 Big Nine) took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Carley Grunewald in the first period, but JM scored twice in a 39-second span to take the lead for good later in the first.

“It was a really good game and I think we’re starting to come around,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said.
