The Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team suffered its first loss of the season when it fell to Spring Grove (3-1 overall, 3-0 SEC) 65-64 in Pacelli Friday.

LP had a chance to tie the game, but an Ann Rysavy three rimmed out and LP scored on a put-back at the buzzer.

The Athletics (3-1 overall, 2-1 SEC) led by 12 at the half, but they had five players foul out and the Lions took the lead with four minutes left.

“We just couldn’t get the right mix of kids out there,” LP head coach Brad Walter said.

Rysavy finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, Sarah Holtz had nine points and nine rebounds and Madison Truckenmiller had eight points and seven rebounds.
