MANKATO — The Austin girls hockey team was a little shorthanded as it lost 2-0 to Mankato West (3-8-1 overall, 1-7 Big Nine) on the road Tuesday.
The Packers (2-10 overall, 1-7 Big Nine) fired off 37 shots, but couldn’t find the net.
“We were missing some key players due to illnesses and other commitments,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said. “That hurt us pretty bad.”
Allison Hoban had 29 saves for Austin.
