ST. CLAIR — The Hayfield girls basketball team won the St. Clair tournament when it beat United South Central (4-3 overall) Saturday.

The Vikings (7-3 overall) took the lead in the second half when Abby Pollock hit back-to-back threes.

“It was a real nice win and it’s a huge game come seeding time,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said. “We’ve now won seven of our last eight and we’re feeling pretty good about ourselves.”

Jo Bungum led Hayfield with 18 points.
