MANKATO, Minn. — A Minnesota State University football coach who has been cleared of child pornography charges wants the investigative reports in his case to remain sealed.

Todd Hoffner sued the state and Blue Earth County earlier this month in hopes of keeping the police reports private, after a Twin Cities television station asked to see them.

Hoffner is head football coach at Minnesota State, Mankato. He was accused of child pornography in August, after school officials found naked videos of his children on his work-issued cellphone. Those charges were dismissed.

The Mankato Free Press reports that District Court Judge Krista Jass issued a ruling last week that will keep the reports private until they can be reviewed.

Hoffner has been taken off administrative leave but not reinstated as head coach.
