Bruins blast Wings as Fischer scores two goals

The Austin Bruins put up one of their most dominating performances of the season when they out-shot Aberdeen (8-21-2 overall) 43-11 in a 5-1 win in Riverside Arena Saturday.

Chris Fischer, who had four goals over the weekend, had two goals and an assist and the Bruins (23-5-4 overall) knocked in four goals in the second period of the win.

Nicholas Lehr had 10 saves in the win for Austin.

The Bruins, who have won seven straight, now lead the Central Division by 12 points over second place Bismarck and they have the second most points in the entire NAHL.

Austin will host Coulee Region Monday night at 7:05 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
